The Flavor of this My World

Blog#1 Scurrrrrrrry... I've never written one of these before and I'm really nervous I'm going to think to much because that's what I do. I overthink. I want this to be natural. I'm told I'm a good story-teller so I want to do my best to make this blog seem like one of my animated storys. Spoken not written. I'm not super formal... so lets go.

I work full time at Tent Theater as the Scenic painter.

I love what I do; I'm just not thrilled with how often I do it. 1 MORE DAY! There is a celebration in order. So, tomorrow is Triva Night at the local Irish Pub with my closest friends. Now I haven't had it yet, but I just have a feeling it's going to be a great night. Friends are a constant comfort.

Speaking of comforts, I really like old things. I love the history one object can hold. My brother and I inherited this from my mother who made my home growing up look like an ad straight out of Country Living Magazine. Here's the family in flesh:

Cute. My mom and dad came to visit last week and while my brother and fajah went fishing, momison and I went to the flea market. I bought a cute vintage bird planter and planted a cactus in it. Yesterday... get this, this is crazy... I was on Urban Outfitters website and ran across this: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&navAction=jump&id=16431397&search=true&isProduct=true&parentid=SEARCH+RESULTS&color=03 It's a reproduction of the one I had gotten! and here's the kicker! I planted the same plant in that very same planter (only mine is authentic, of course) Examine:

AHHHHHH! I was so nerdily excited. I also got in the habit of buying fresh flowers at the farmers market (thanks Liz and Alex). I took my mom and she loved it. Summer is the best for the sort of flowers I like. WILDflowers. de loco de crazy. I arranged this bouquet from discount flowers from the grocery store:
Little Joys. A reminder that the world is a really beautiful place and that Im really blessed to be living, here in Springfield, with the friends I share and to have the adoring family God has graced me with.

This may be a bit scattered but it's a good idea of whats to come. As I wrap up my Nancy Drew novels, the readers of my blog will hear my first review; when a new band decides to work it's way under my skin, I'll post exactly what it is I like about them; The funny things my loved ones do, my ungraceful, clumsy moments as well as my biggest triumphs will be shared with you... at least thats the idea.

I love Micheal J. Fox and I want to be a testament to his philosophy. I want to be an incurable optimist.
